SankalpaA — Immersive Cultural Retreats
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information SankalpaA collects when you use sankalpaa.in, book an event, or contact us, and how we use and protect it. SankalpaA is a venture of Role Krafft, based in Karnataka, India (“SankalpaA”, “we”, “us”).
We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules. When you use our website or share your details with us, you agree to this policy.

Information collected automatically
When you visit sankalpaa.in, we use PostHog, an analytics service, to understand how people find and use the site. It records:
- your IP address, and the approximate location (city, region, country) worked out from it
- your device type, operating system and browser
- the pages you visit, when, and for how long
- how you reached us: the website or app that sent you (for example Instagram, Google or WhatsApp), and any campaign tags in the link you clicked
When you make a booking, we also save how you found us(for example “Instagram”) and your approximate city, region and country with that booking. This tells us which of our posts and channels bring people to our events. Your IP address is not stored with your booking.
Cookies and similar storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage. They are not used for advertising.
- Analytics (PostHog): a cookie and browser storage that recognise a returning visitor and group the pages of one visit
- Visit source: browser storage that remembers how you first arrived (for example from an Instagram link), so it can be attached to your booking
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your information. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- run your booking: create your registration, take payment, send your confirmation email, and contact you about the event (changes, reminders, venue details)
- keep you safe on the day: for example, by using your emergency contact if needed
- answer your enquiries and plan group or school retreats with you
- send occasional letters about new retreat dates, only if you joined our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- understand and improve our website and events: for example, how many visitors come from Instagram and which pages they use
- meet legal duties: for example, keeping tax and accounting records, and preventing fraud or misuse
We use your information only for these purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade it.
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers who help us run SankalpaA, and only as much as they need to do their job:
| Provider | What they do for us | Where data is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Payment processing | India |
| Google (Google Workspace / Sheets) | Storing booking and enquiry records | Global (Google data centres) |

| Cloudflare | Domain and email routing | Global |

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of SankalpaA, our guests or others. If SankalpaA is merged or sold, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy. We will tell you before that happens.
Some of these providers process data outside India. Where they do, they protect it under their own privacy and security commitments, and we rely on them only as far as Indian law permits.
4. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Bookings and payment records | As long as tax and accounting law requires (currently up to 8 years) |
| Enquiries | Up to 24 months after our last contact with you |
| Mailing list | Until you unsubscribe |
| Website analytics | Up to 12 months |
When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
5. Children
Some of our retreats welcome participants under 18, including school groups. A parent, guardian or schoolmust make the booking and provide the details for anyone under 18, and by doing so confirms they are allowed to do so on the child’s behalf. We use a child’s information only to run the booking and keep them safe at the event. We do not knowingly track children or show them advertising.
If you believe a child has given us their details without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, contact us and we will delete them.
6. Your rights
Under India’s data protection law, you can:
- see the personal information we hold about you, and how we use it
- correct or update it if it is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law (for example, payment records)
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our mailing list. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to
- raise a complaint with us (see section 9). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days.

If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
